After graduating from Desert Hills High School\, Krissia attended Dixie State University on academic and leadership scholarships. While at Dixie\, Krissia was involved with many programs and organizations including DSU Ambassadors\, DECA Club President\, Public Events Chair for the Dixie State University Student Association\, and was Miss Dixie in 2013. Although taking this year off from school\, she is excited to return to Dixie next fall to complete her Bachelors in Human Communication\, and advance towards her goal of obtaining a PhD in Organizational Communication and Leadership. Krissia was blessed with the opportunity of becoming Miss Utah one month ago\, and is now preparing to compete in the Miss America Pageant\, held in Atlantic City NJ this coming September! \n\n\n\nKrissia will speak on her diagnosis of Spina Bifida\, her involvement in the Miss Utah Organization and her journey to the crown\, as well as her platform and current preparation for Miss America.
