DESCRIPTION:Dr. Eric Pedersen has served as a faculty member in the Computing & Design Department at Dixie State University since 1989 where he teaches web development\, design\, and tech entrepreneurship.  He is currently the Dean of the College of Science\, Engineering & Technology at DSU.  Over the years Pedersen has held numerous leadership roles on campus including Director of the SBDC & Business Development Center (1989-94)\, Director of the Center of Excellence for Computer Graphics (1992-2012)\, and Dean of Continuing Education (1994-97). Pedersen received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Utah State University and has conducted extensive work in tech entrepreneurship.  In addition to his academic career\, Pedersen is a successful entrepreneur. He directed a research team that developed and launched the first website in Utah\, co-founded InfoWest\, the first regional internet service provider in southern Utah\, along with several other successful tech companies.  Eric and his wife Stephanie are the parents of 3 wonderful children (Joshua Pedersen\, Jessica Archibald ? married to Stephen Archibald\, and Jacob Pedersen).
