DESCRIPTION:If you are an accomplished forgiver\, then there's no reason to read on. If\, on the other hand\, you want to put your forgiving skills in better working order\, read on. Father Steve Brehe will lead three Wednesday night sessions on Forgiveness in January at Grace Episcopal Church. Presentations and discussions will be built around The Book of Forgiving by Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter\, Rev. Mpho Tutu. Bishop Tutu received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 while archbishop of Southern Africa. After the apartheid era\, he led South Africa's truth and reconciliation process which is credited with preventing civil war and violence. The seminar will cover the following topics: Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. Understanding forgiveness Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. The four-fold path to forgiving Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. All can be forgiven Coffee\, tea\, and great conversation will be provided. Sessions will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. For those who want to continue the discussion\, Father Brehe will stay till 8:30 or so. All are welcome to attend\, and there is no charge for the sessions. Interested participations should call the Grace Episcopal Church office at 628-1181. Copies of The Book of Forgiving are available in a variety of formats from Barnes and Nobel and Amazon. The Very Reverend Stephen Brehe is the retired Dean of St. Peter's Episcopal Cathedral in Helena\, Montana\, and lives in St. George during the winter. In 2002 he spent a sabbatical working for the Church of Southern Africa in KwaZulu-Natal.
