DESCRIPTION:The 2018 Dixie Scout Expo Card Sales Kicked off this week with a great deal of excitement. The Expo is being held on Saturday February 24\, from 9:00AM - 2:00PM at the Dixie Convention Center. Expo Cards are being sold as a fundraiser for local Scouting and features a $20 BSA Expo Starving Student Card that has $400 of FREE food\, entertainment and services\, plus an additional $3\,500 of discounts at local merchants and restaurants. \n\n\n\nThe Expo is a large indoor and outdoor booth show with over 100 scouting and community booths showcasing the Scouting Spirit to the public. IT is anticipated that hundreds of local scouts and leaders will be participating in this event. \n\n\n\nAccording to the BSA Executive David Peterson\, "If 20 Cub Scouts and/or Boy Scouts from your Troop or Pack sell 20 tickets that Troop will receive $10 per ticket or $4\,000 for their Troop or Pack. Troops can use the funds to help them with summer scout camps\, purchase camping gear and awards and other items they need. Half of the remaining 50% of the proceeds from the sell of the Expo tickets or $5.00 goes to help with local Scouting. THe remaining $5 goes to Starving Students for putting the tickets together." \n\n\n\nYou can support local Scouting by purchasing your $20 ticket for the 2018 Dixie Scout Expo from one of your local scouters. Scouts can win valuable prizes for selling the most tickets\, including a chance to win a trip for 4 to Disneyland.\n\n\n\nThe Expo is a free family event with age appropriate activities for everyone.
