Operations Manager
Position Title: Operations Manager
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Position Classification: Exempt/Full-Time/Expected 40 hrs/week
Job Summary:
The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Chamber. OM will track, process, and resolve outstanding and new projects. Oversees financial payments to vendors, ensures timely execution of contracts, coordinates with Chamber contractors. Works closely with the Chamber’s chosen accounting firm to ensure invoicing, accounts payable, account receivable, and monthly financials are correct. Other responsibilities as directed by the President & CEO.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Guides Chamber Team in preparation of events by interpreting and explaining contract provisions, policies, procedures & insurance requirements.
- Prepares budgets for events and monitors final billing.
- Oversees many aspects of Chamber's day-to-day operations. I.e. Office Equipment, supplies, cleaning, security, internet, network, utilities, etc.
- Serves as a Chamber Team member to address member requests, concerns, and problems.
- Serves as a Chamber Team member to organize, ideate, and execute events.
- Collaborates with community organizations for the betterment of the community & Chamber.
- Pursues great Client Service (Unreasonable Hospitality) and, with the Chamber Team, ensures members' satisfaction.
- Assists in annual budget preparation for Chamber.
- Oversees preparation of reports for addressing financial priorities (AP, AR, etc.)
- Streamline & help develop standard operating procedures for the Chamber.
- Aids in hiring and training new Chamber Team members.
- Maintains positive employer/employee relations. Assists with Chamber Team development to work smart and to their full potential.
- Meets and consults with city officials & organizes assigned meetings and/or events (State of the City Addresses, City Council).
- Other duties as assigned by Chamber President & CEO

- 3-5 years practical operations expertise
- Excellent at supervising the day-to-day operational functions
- Good understanding of budgets, financial reports
- Must have very good organizational, planning and execution skills
- Excellent computer skills and proficient in basic programs (i.e. Microsoft Office)
- Time sensitive and responsive to needs of the Chamber
- Possess strong organizational skills
- Professional verbal and written talents
- Able to speak in front of large groups with professional stature
- Polished interpersonal skills
- Ability to view situations from several points of view
- Collaborative management style
- Must be able to flex schedule for evening and early morning events
A degree from a 4-year accreted school with some financial or general business.
Lifting and Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and move tables, chairs, equipment, and other necessary apparatus for events.
Compensation:
- Salary $48,000-$55,000 based on experience
- Variable compensation: $2,500 annual bonus based on KPI’s, Chamber performance
