BLM Brown Bag Lecture Series
This week's Brown Bag Lecture series features Ron Swenson, marketing Director for Dixie State University's Institute for Continued Learning. Come learn about the institute and programs available to area residents.
The lectures provide unique opportunities for members of the public to learn more about the area’s natural resources and public lands. Speakers include geologists, range specialists, biologists, archaeologists, rangers and other specialists who delve more deeply into subjects tied to the Arizona Strip and surrounding public lands. The lectures bring the resources and public lands issues to the community’s doorstep, benefiting those who want to learn more before venturing out or wish to enjoy an armchair tour of some of the region’s remote and rugged landscapes. The lecture series is sponsored by the Dixie/Arizona Strip Interpretive Association, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service.
