Chamber Inspiration Luncheon featuring Jan Broberg
Jan Broberg was twelve years old when she became the victim of a terrifying and bizarre four-year brainwashing ordeal. Jan's captor maintained such a convincing and threatening hold on her that even after she returned home from the initial kidnapping, she continued to secretly meet him and was eventually taken from home a second time.
Her story is one of survival, triumph, determination, and unending hope.
Since the age of 7, Jan has turned most of her time and attention in recent years to film and television roles playing the funny recurring regular 'Nurse Louise' on the popular television series EVERWOOD. Most recently Jan finished filming a guest star role playing the mother of a 12-year-old kidnapped boy on CRIMINAL MINDS. Also IRON MAN 3, as the Newsroom Producer, and the Grand Jury Award winning film COYOTE (Dances With Films Festival) playing the funny but poignant, exercising obsessed, cougar Mom.
Jan is very passionate about helping families and victims of abuse and brain washing find hope and power in taking back their lives as she shares her story of abduction as a 12-year-old girl in the book "STOLEN INNOCENCE, THE JAN BROBERG STORY" written by her mother MaryAnn Broberg. (Amazon.com)
Jan is a popular speaker and a spokeswoman for CHILD SHIELD USA. Her message is to inform, inspire and ignite the human spirit; to stand as a voice and in action for change, hope, prevention and healing.
